Loading ...Erik Ainge, who spent 2010 on the did not report list due to drug and alcohol related issues, has torn the rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
Ainge hasn't taken a regular season snap since he was drafted in 2008, so from a team standpoint this will not have a major impact. This will almost certainly spell the end of his time with the Jets, who are stacked at the quarterback position.
Still, our best wishes go out to Ainge for a speedy and full recovery. The former University of Tennessee quarterback offered a positive outlook via Twitter:
"Found out i have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder today, no fun, o well, could always be worse, im sober and loved, all that matters"
