The New York Jets received some great news today when star cornerback Darrelle Revis was cleared for contact. As long as he doesn't suffer a setback, Darrelle Revis is now expected to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. The Jets have been following the mandated concussion protocol throughout the recovery process for Darrelle Revis, meaning he has passed all of the necessary steps in order to be cleared for contact.
New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis is still recovering from the concussion he suffered in the week one in over the Buffalo Bills, but he is taking clear steps towards being able to play against the Miami Dolphins this weekend. Darrelle Revis was forced to sit out against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past week. Getting Darrelle Revis back on the field would be a huge boost for the Jets defense.
The Jets can probably get by this week without Darrelle Revis. The Miami Dolphins don't boast a great aerial attack, with rookie Ryan Tannehill under center and a below average receiving corps, but you never know what can happen in a football game and you always want to play your best 11 players on each side of the ball.
This is great news for the Jets, definitely a step in the right direction. the Jets are also hoping to see Dustin Keller back on the field Sunday.
