At Jets 101, we strive to bring you the latest news and updates on everything Gang Green. However, some things become so frustrating that writing about them involves not being so nice. If you are looking of a positive outlook on the state of the Jets, please stop this reading this article right now.

Where do we start? How about the defense? Who is teaching these guys how to tackle? Goodness gracious, they do not know how to make stops.  Any running back can look like Walter Payton against this defense.  Another thing, where is the pass rush? For strong defensive linemen, they cannot do much. The Jets must have the slowest pass rushers in the NFL, and their fastest pass rusher, Aaron Maybin, does not get the playing time he deserves. Take the attention off of Rex Ryan and Tony Sparano, and start putting defensive coordinator Mike Pettine under the microscope.

Offense, do not think you are getting off easy. First off, learn how to block well. How is it that a "Ground and Pound" team cannot even perform according to their philosophy? Also, cut Mark Sanchez some slack for some of the sacks. If the offensive line can give him time to make decisions, he might actually be able to move.

Speaking of Sanchez, it just might be time to start cutting ties. It is his fourth year and he just does not get it. Sanchez should be developing, but he takes three steps backwards for every one step he takes forward. He may be running out of time. One more thing about this whole quarterback mess: start Greg McElroy. He's smart, athletic, and a winner. Sanchez and Tim Tebow have proven to be unreliable, and McElroy looks to be the only one with very few loose screws. It is worth the try.

For now, we will end with Mike Tannenbaum. The man who started out as a sleeper GM is now starting look like a failure. Get this team fast players that are not afraid to nail people. Look for talent for bargain prices. Create depth at every position. That is how the New England Patriots are able to do well. They do all of the above. Stop worrying about publicity and start thinking about who will help the team win. If the team crashes this year, it might be best for Mr. T to step down.

Someone had to say all of this, and hopefully they get the message. There may be more rants later this season. Stay tuned.
