The New York Jets have a crucial game this weekend  as they host the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium. The matchup precedes two AFC East games in a row, with the Jets visiting the New England Patriots next week before returning home to play the Miami Dolphins. The Jets need to get a win under their belts heading into that two-game stretch as they are currently riding a two-game losing streak. The are three specific matchups that will go a long way towards determining the winner of tomorrow's game.

Antonio Cromartie vs. Reggie Wayne: Just like last week, Antonio Cromartie will be called on to cover a superstar wide receiver. last week Antonio Cromartie shut down Andre Johnson, but now he faces a different challenge in Reggie Wayne. Antonio Cromartie typically performs very well against taller receivers like Andre Johnson, but Reggie Wayne is smaller, the type of receiver that has given Cro issues in the past. The Jets need Cromartie to be dominant once again so Rex Ryan can be creative and find ways to attack Andrew Luck.

Mark Sanchez vs. Andrew Luck: These two won't actually faceoff with each other on the field at the same time, but the Jets desperately need to have the better quarterback performance for once tomorrow. Unable to stop the run, with no pass rush and no running game of their own, the Jets need Mark Sanchez to be a positive. He must limit turnovers and the Jets will try to force Andrew Luck into committing some turnovers, though he hasn't looked like a rookie quarterback so far this season.

Jets Front Seven vs. Vick Ballard and the Colts Offensive Line: The Jets need to stop the run, plain and simple. Their defense is designed to do just that, the first step in their gameplan when trying to dismantle an opposing offense. Under Rex Ryan, stopping the run has been a given. Not this year. The Jets won't see Donald Brown, but the Jets have seen plenty of different running back run rampant on their defense so far this season. it's time to step up and force the ball into Andrew Luck's hands.
